What kind of instructor am I?
I generally consider myself as a warm instructor who deeply cares about the wellbeing and progress of her students. I enjoy being direct and "to the point" with what needs improvement, while maintaining a positive and light tone in all of my sessions. I'm encouraging, yet will also let the student know everything they need to be competent and technically proficient in the world of academic art.
What to expect from your first session with me?
I generally host an online meeting via Zoom, and discuss all of the student's artistic interests, passions and goals. From there, I'll collaborate with the student and give them a tailored plan to help the student reach their goals in an efficient and effective manner. I'll also point out any technical or fundamental skills that could be improved on and give tools that can be immediately implemented to strengthen any weak points.
Usually, I limit my first session to 30 minutes. Students who regularly book sessions with me have the option of booking 45-minute or one-hour sessions with me afterwards.
What do subsequent sessions look like?
After the first session, I have students submit retouched and/or new artworks to me for review. I will be sharing my screen and directly paint over the student's work via ProCreate for personalized feedback. We'll be discussing the strengths of the painting, its weaknesses and how to best improve the student's methods for the next piece.
All levels are welcome! Email me at [email protected] to book your first session!
